Bill Cook- EFR Instructor/ PADI IDC Staff Instructor
Bill Cook began diving nearly 30 years ago. He dove heavily at first but, like many, had to abandon his pursuits to start a family and build his own floor covering business. When his daughter turned 12 Bill found an excuse to renew his passion. He and Samantha began diving together, earning their Advanced Open water and Rescue certifications through Uncle Joe in just that first year. Bill was so enthralled by the level of care they received, that he decided to pursue his Divemaster certification. In 2008, he became a PADI certified instructor, and began working his way up the PADI professional ladder. He recently surpassed Joe, his friend and mentor, by earning the rating of PADI IDC Staff Instructor.

Michael Davis - PADI Divemaster
Mike was commissioned in the US Army upon graduation from college in 1978. After a 20-year career in the Army, he retired in the Pittsburgh area to pursue a civilian career. Mike began Scuba Diving in 1977 after taking the PADI Open Water Course as part of his college curriculum. He dived for several years after college graduation, but his military career gradually took him away from the sport. After a 20-year absence from scuba, a trip in 2007 to the Turks & Caicos Islands re-sparked his interest in diving. Mike took in a PADI Open Water Refresher Course prior to his trip and was bitten by the "diving bug" in the crystal-clear waters of the Turks & Caicos. Mike has completed the PADI Advanced Open Water Course, PADI Rescue Diver Course and the PADI Divemaster Course. Since returning to scuba diving, he has dived at several other popular destinations in the Caribbean to include Barbados, Grenada, Aruba, Grand Cayman and the Florida Keys.

Renee Trudel - PADI Divemaster
Along with her many other pursuits (including, but not limited to, Firefighting, Flying, Rappelling, and camping) Renee is an avid diver. She is not only another one of us who 'caught the bug', she caught it diving lakes and quarries. In all the years she has been diving, it wasn't until Nov 2011 that Renee completed her first ocean dives in Key Largo, FL. Renee completed her Divemaster training with Uncle Joe's Scuba in 2009. She and her sister Rita join us for a lot of our local excursions, especially Gilboa, a favorite of many!

Aviel Levy - PADI Divemaster
Aviel grew up half a world away in Israel. It was there in the Mediterranean and Red Seas that he completed much of his training. When Avi moved to Pittsburgh with his wife he wasn't going to let the lack of ocean keep him from diving. He came to Uncle Joe's in 2010 to work on some specialty courses and eventually decided to become a Divemaster. Aviel completed his DM training in August 2011 and is now working on his EFR Instructor and Specialty Instructor ratings with the ultimate goal of Open Water Instructor sometime in 2012 or early 2013!

Tyler Weinstein - PADI Divemaster
Our newest Divemaster, Tyler has been a great example of the dedication and attention to detail that you'd hope for in every DM. Tyler began diving with us in 2008 completing his Rescue and several specialty courses. Tyler took to Bill's teaching style right away and has been a very close pupil as he joins his mentor on nearly every outing. He joined us for our 2010 Cat Ppalu and 2011 Key Largo excursions. We look forward to helping Tyler work his way up the professional ladder. We know he'll make an excelent instructor!
